"SCHINDLER'S LIST" SURVIVORS INSPIRE MOVIE

Thomas Keneally wrote about Oskar Schindler righteous acts to save the lives of his Jewish workers during the Holocaust in his book “Schindler’s Ark”. It is based on the testimonies of the Schindler survivors who wanted to honor this brave German whose exceptional heroism saved over 1,000 of their lives. Steven Spielberg later made the movie “Schindler’s List”, emphasizing the Book of Life and the names God has written in it for eternal life.

Schindler's List opens with a close-up of hands lighting the Shabbat candles and the sound of a Hebrew prayer as darkness descends on the Jewish home. It is 1939 at the outset of the German forced relocation of Polish Jews to the Krakow ghetto. OUR PURPOSE:
Whoever Saves One "Nation”, Saves the World Entire

  • To honor, glorify and hallow the Lord and His Name - Ezekiel 20:41 “When I bring you home from exile, you will be like a pleasing sacrifice to me. And I will display my holiness through you as all the nations watch.” Become a Friend of Zion declaring God’s faithfulness to fulfill His Covenant in the sight of all nations.

  • To bless the nation of Israel - Genesis 12:3 “I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed.” Join millions of Christian Zionists who stand with Israel in our families, congregations and governments.

  • To promote reconciliation and unity between Christians and Jews through expressions of unconditional love, kindness and respect. Ruth 1:16,17 “But Ruth replied to Naomi “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried.”

  • To “not be silent” concerning the persecuted, to demonstrate our biblical mandate of Israel’s natural and spiritual restoration, and to prepare the way for Messiah’s coming. “Their will be a day when Watchmen, Notzrim = Christians, will shout from the hill country of Ephraim, 'Come, let us go up to Jerusalem to worship the LORD our God’.”

  • To be the branches, the “Notzrim”, Hebrew for Christians, who are grafted into the Olive Tree of Israel, having returned to our Jewish, biblical roots. Romans 11:17, 18 “But some of these branches from Abraham's tree--some of the people of Israel--have been broken off. And you Gentiles, who were branches from a wild olive tree, have been grafted in. So now you also receive the blessing God has promised Abraham and his children, sharing in the rich nourishment from the root of God's special olive tree, but you must not brag about being grafted in to replace the branches that were broken off. You are just a branch, not the root."

  • To provide social, economic and practical aid and to be a source of solace and comfort to the needy victims of terror. Isaiah 40:1 “Comfort, O comfort My people," says your God. “Speak kindly to Jerusalem; and call out to her, that her warfare has ended, that her iniquity has been removed, that she has received of the LORD'S hand Double for all her sins."

  • To host teaching and training seminars to promote the healing of history’s traumatic wounds between Jews and Christians. Isaiah 62:1 “For Zion’s sake I will not keep silent, and for Jerusalem’s sake I will not be quiet, until her righteousness goes forth as brightness, and her salvation as a burning torch.”

  • To conduct tours to relevant sites of biblically historical significance. Psalm 84:5 “What joy for those whose strength comes from the LORD, who have set their minds on a pilgrimage to Jerusalem”.

  • To educate about the history of Anti-Semitism, persecution and terrorism. Join the March of the Living or March of Remembrance on Yom HaShoah – Holocaust Remembrance Day, visit personally or online the Holocaust Memorial Museums of Yad Vashem in Jerusalem or the U.S. Holocaust Museum in Washington, D.C. Meet Holocaust survivors and their descendants keep their story alive. Isaiah 10:20, 21 “Now in that day the remnant of Israel, and the survivors of the house of Jacob, will never again rely on the one who struck them, but will truly rely on the LORD, the Holy One of Israel. The survivors will return, the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God.”

  • To Provide support for the aliyah, return of the Jews to their homeland. Jeremiah 32:40 “I will bring them back to this place and make them dwell in safety. They shall be My people, and I will be their God; and I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear Me always, for their own good and for the good of their children after them.”

  • To Volunteer to serve the brave men and women of the IDF and the farmers in Israel’s Heartland. Jeremiah 31:5,6 "Again you will plant vineyards on the hills of Samaria; the planters will plant and will enjoy them. For there will be a day when Christians on the hills of Ephraim call out, 'Arise, and let us go up to Zion, To the LORD our God.'"

  • To participate in raising funds for charity purposes such as schools, hospitals and Israel’s Defense Forces Soldiers, the persecuted Christians in the Middle East and congregations of Believers and biblical causes. Deuteronomy 15:10, 11 “Give generously to the poor, not grudgingly, for the LORD your God will bless you in everything you do. There will always be some in the land who are poor. That is why I am commanding you to share freely with the poor and with other Israelites in need.”
